At Visualplex, we have chosen to engage in a project that leaves a real and lasting mark: together with zeroCO2, we have brought our forest to life in Tanzania, within an agroforestry program that directly supports local communities and, in particular, Maasai women.
We operate in Monduli District, a rural area on the Great Rift Valley plateau. Communities here live mainly from agriculture and livestock farming, but climate change is putting at risk the balance on which their livelihoods are based. In this fragile context, Maasai women are often the most exposed: their traditionally marginal social position makes them even more vulnerable to environmental and economic crises.
That is why we have decided to act. The trees we plant —fruit, forestry, and medicinal— are donated to women's groups in the region, accompanied by training that allows them to care for and benefit from them over time. Thus, each tree becomes not only an environmental contribution, but also a concrete resource for creating food autonomy and new economic opportunities.
We chose this commitment because we believe that sustainability is not only an environmental issue, but also a social one. Planting trees means tackling desertification, but it also means giving power, tools and prospects back to those who too often lack them.
The VisualPlex forest was born from this very belief: to do our part for a more equitable, resilient and shared future.
